First week of class impressions

There is just one word to describe the first week…..overwhelming! 

It is fortunate that last week I read the first few chapters in each class.  The professors started teaching the material immediately. 

We had assignments due this week (and it is just week one).  I have a quiz to complete by Labor Day.  What I have learned?  There is no vacation while in school. 

I am glad that I decided not to go home for Labor Day weekend.  Seriously, if you want to earn an MBA, come serious and prepared to work.  Since Tepper is a tier-one business school, your classmates will be among the most intelligent people in the world. 

I have classmates from many countries, and despite Tepper’s reputation, it is not true that our entire class consists of engineers.  We have lawyers, doctors, sales people, environmentalist, etc. in our class.  It is a fantastic mix as we are assigned to our groups to complete team assignments.
